My Story

Hey there! I’m Clint George, an artist from the Okanagan Nation Territory in British Columbia, Canada. I was born in Penticton and grew up on the Penticton Indian Band. I started my artistic journey pretty young, and by the time I was 11, I was really into tattooing. I had the chance to work as a professional tattoo artist for 15 years, starting at age 18, and I was lucky enough to win a few awards along the way.

Inspired my dad, Grant George, I also got into welding and steel art, making native tools like spears, arrows, and shields. A lot of my art showcases characters and gestures from our Okanagan stories and teachings. I create these pieces out of steel so they can last a long time and help teach people about our culture and traditions. I’m also really interested in learning about other cultures and their stories, hoping to create artwork that reflects that in steel. As a proud North American Indian from the Okanagan Nation, I love sharing the rich stories of my people while also embracing the diverse narratives of others.
